Is the IVT applicable for other applications such as electricity generation windmills and boats? Have you any plans to exploit this market?

Examples include windmills, earth-moving equipment, tractors - anything that demands a variable speed control, from crawling speed up to high speed. Our challenge is to make sound business decisions about how much technical effort and financial investment we put into these areas to get the right business result.

Our technology can also bring benefits to a wide range of different (non-automotive) applications. The business development and technical teams have been pursuing a number of additional applications as a way of broadening the market and our product portfolio, while maintaining our prime focus on the automotive market. We continue to review all of these alternatives to ensure that they support a sound business case.
