Using this site

Welcome to the Torotrak website. We have provided the information below to help you get the best out of our site, and to help find your way around it.

Exploring the website

The top navigation bar shows the main areas of the site.

A side navigation bar opens up when you have moved into a particular section of the site. A chevron showing down indicates that there are pages below. Moving your mouse over the text with the chevron will display the pages this section contains without changing the current page.

There are site tools at the bottom right hand corner of the page which include the site map, terms of use, privacy policy, accessibility details and glossary.

The ‘breadcrumbs’ (pathway) under the main navigation bar at the top of each page shows you the route you have taken, and allows you to click on any part of the path eg to go backwards.

Certain content (eg the glossary, regulatory announcements and technical papers) can be accessed from more than one part of the site. As such it is possible that if you click on such content, you will leave the section you are in and move to the section where the content is held. This is because the content is only stored in one place, for ease of updating. For example, if you click on Glossary in Investors, it will take you to Technology, where the glossary is stored. In such cases, the breadcrumb tool described above can help you to check which part of the site you are now in.

If you are unfamiliar with our technology, you may find the glossary of our most commonly used terms useful.

Technical requirements for this site

Torotrak endeavours to ensure compatibility with all major browsers. However, for the best browsing experience, we recommend that you view the website using Internet Explorer 8.

You will need the Adobe Flash Player to view the animations within the website. If you wish to view them at a higher resolution, you will need the Quicktime Player or Windows Media Player to do this.

The website includes PDF files; you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these. This can be downloaded for free by clicking here.

Accessibility for visually impaired visitors

We aim to make this website suitable for visually impaired users. Please see the accessibility section for more details.

RSS updates

RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’ and is used to describe the technology used in creating feeds to publish frequently updated content. Selecting the RSS link available from the top of each page (or within the news room section) enables you to subscribe to the RSS feed. When you subscribe, your browser automatically checks the website and downloads new content so you can see what is new since you last visited the feed.

Feedback

If you would like to send us any feedback regarding your experience of our website, or if you have any suggestions about how it might be improved, please use our feedback form.
